Planning for Tomorrow
On Saturday, October 13th, Communitas will host a free workshop on Gifts and Estate Planning with Brad Friesen (above), from Abundance Canada. Participants will learn the ins and outs of estate planning and maximizing tax benefits through various gifting solutions.
“An up-to-date estate plan helps to ensure that your loved ones are provided for and that your legacy is impacting your favourite charities,” Friesen says.
This free workshop includes a continental breakfast and is an opportunity to ask questions and interact with others. Alan Cavin, resource development director for Communitas, has worked with Abundance Canada for several years and has been impressed with the quality of information shared.
“Brad’s presentation is clear and user-friendly. It is an opportunity to learn how you care for your loved ones and make an impact with your estate.” – Alan Cavin, Director of Resource Development
Abundance Canada is a 100% donor-advised, faith-based charitable foundation offering Canadians various gifting solutions to support the charities they care about most in their lifetime and with their estate. There is no obligation to make a donation to Abundance Canada or to Communitas.
“This workshop is offered at no cost. We offer it because we feel it’s important for all of us to plan our legacy,” he says. “We hope that people will consider Communitas in their estate and help provide support to those living with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges but there is no obligation to do so.”
The Gift and Estate Planning workshop happens Saturday October 13th from 10 am – 11:30 am at Communitas: #103 – 2776 Bourquin Crescent West in Abbotsford. RSVP with Alan Cavin at 604 850 6608 or email office@CommunitasCare.com
