We are looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals who possess excellent teamwork skills to join our team! Child and Youth Care Workers provide care for children and youth with moderate to severe behavioral needs, 24 hours/7 days a week in a group living setting. This position will provide support in all areas of living through participation in home and community based activities.
More Details
- Child and Youth Care Workers are expected to work according to pre-determined schedules as per program needs
- The successful applicant must be comfortable dealing with moderate to severe behaviors
- Each schedule will have day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts unless otherwise stated
- Casual (on-call) staff need to be available for 2-3 shifts per week according to program needs. These may include day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts
Current Openings:
- 1 Temporary 24hr/week Part Time Position (ending TBD)
- Shifts are: Sun 3pm-11pm; Mon 11pm-7am; Fri 3pm-11pm
- 1 Permanent 40hr/week Full Time Position
- Shifts are: Sun 7am-3pm, Mon 7am-3pm, Tues 7am-3pm, Wed 7am-3pm, Sat 7am-3pm
- 1 Permanent 32hr/week Full Time Position
- Shifts are: Sun 3pm-11pm, Mon 3pm-11pm, Fri 3pm-11pm, Sat 3pm-11pm
Requirements
- The ability to take initiative with creativity and flexibility
- The ability to work as a member of a team as well as being able to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Child and Youth Care Diploma. We provide in house training if you do not have this diploma
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Personal Driving Record
- Emergency First Aid Certificate
- Doctor’s Note of Good Health
- TB Testing Results
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
