gemma is the name Cathy Hardy and Karin Dart call their musical partnership. Formed seven years ago, the passion and energy of their musical partnership has increasingly been devoted to songwriting, recording, and leading contemplative retreats and services. They have had a significant impact on the Fraser Valley of B.C. by leading Taizé Evening Prayers on a regular basis and offering other events to create sacred space through music. Congratulations to gemma for winning the 2009 Classical/Traditional Song of the Year from the Gospel Music Association of Canada, for Alleluia, Alleluia (Psalm 84) featured on their album Trust: Inspirations from Taizé. The album was also nominated for Inspirational Album of the Year and All Shall Be Well was nominated for Instrumental Song of the Year.
