Individualized Living Options

An Individualized Living Option (ILO) is a community based living situation where a person who has a disability lives in a setting of his/her choice.

We work closely with family members to ensure each individual receives appropriate support to ensure their safety, health and participation within the life of the community.

Individualized Living Options include:

  • A home or an apartment similar to other homes or apartments in the area
  • A high level of personal freedom and opportunity
  • Support within a family setting or from a room-mate or staff member as needed
  • Flexibility to design a personal living option that meets the needs of the person and is affordable
