A Journey of Trust

It was the late Brother Roger’s constant reminder – that we are invited on a journey of trust. If one would have asked me a few years ago, do you trust God? I would have initially responded with a "good-girl Sunday school" answer: "of course". But it has been in the past 10 years that another message has been flashing in neon before my eyes – it is the real me that the Lord loves! And so a more honest answer has been: "no, of course not! I don’t trust you one bit!"

To be finally honest, real and human with my Creator was to change my relationship entirely. In those moments of utter honesty over the past 10 years, it seems I hear God chuckling at me. No recriminations or accusations – just gentle laughter at my humanity. So then, to crawl my way to the edge of knowing and leap off the cliff of control (and seeming safety) into the wide open space of trust was absolutely terrifying. But over and over again, the journey of trust continues to bring new levels of freedom and the surprising gift of deep bubbling joy.

This CD is a reflection of the journey of trust that I have been embarking on and that I can now, with a child-like grin on my face, invite you to join me in also.
